hi, as you may have seen in a previous post today, RBS are limiting the cash machines available to those with basic accounts.
not a huge problem if im at home, but if we go away anywhere not as easy to access cash.
i have previously been in a trust deed, discharged for 2 years,im not sure whether to risk a credit search or not?
i have 2 options, upgrade-or attempt to- my current RBS account or try and link up with my partners account in lloyds- he has no credit issues, infact very good credit rating.
anyone have any idea which way to go?
thanks in advance:o

Don't get a joint account. You'll just trash his credit rating. Wait until your credit situation improves and try to upgrade or open a new (full service) account with another bank.

It would certainly be possible - although many would perhaps say not a good idea.
Your trust deed will still show for a further year on your credit file btu you could still try applying for a 'normal' full account somewhere and seeing if you are accepted or not.
Or just open a new basic account elsewhere - that don't limit cash withdrawals?A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
