Bank of Scotland reclaim timescales

Evening all, any idea what timescale I can expect from HBOS to a ppi loan claim i submitted at the end of July ? I provided a full copy of loan agreement etc. I've been advised 16 weeks at least ? Anyone improved on 16 weeks ?

Good luck on your reclaiming.

The main of them are given extra time from the FSA due to backlogs, one of mine is currently 16 weeks, via Lloyds, they may still resolve before then though.;)

Firstly, good luck with your complaint As far as I know, the 16 weeks is to make a decision and inform the customer - not necessarily to have paid the money.

I have two complaints with Bank Of Scotland, both sent on 5th May 2011:

Complaint one has been investigated and an offer made on 5th August (12 weeks). I've accepted and I'm now waiting for the money (been advised to allow up to 28 days). So, if the payment is made before 5th September then we're just inside the 16 weeks from start to finish.

Complaint two, however, is still being investigated. I've had an acknowledgement and a "16 weeks to reply" letter - so we'll have to see on that one.
