Hi , i have a duel fuel account with eon and at the moment i am paying £152 per month . . . i locked into a fixed price term til 2013 but whats baffling me is that the payment still doesnt cover usage as my debt to them is £100 and this is through the summer months so what will they expect me to pay through winter months.
It has got to a point where anymore price hikes and i will literally not be able to afford anymore monies
My house is a 2 bed mid terrace , no central heating , 2 gas fires only on through autumn/winter , gas water heater, double glazed, usual appliances ie tv/'a' rated fridge, gas cooker, all lights have energy bulbs in.
Is this going to be my constant payment because its getting obscene !
similar rants accepted , lol

Are the meter readings on your bills actual readings or estimates. ?
What is your actual fuel use over a 12 month period?0 -
You either are growing strange green plants in your bedrooms......or there is something desperately wrong - for my usage in a detached 5 bedroom house the EON FIX til APRIL 2013 would cost me ~ £132 pm!! My daughter, who lives in a modern 2 bedroom terrace pays ~£50 pm !!
As per StephenM have you got an actual annual usage in KWh (based on real meter readings -not estimates). If so, plug those usage figures into a comparison website for your tariff and it will calculate your expected annual cost.
Also, is your gas meter recording in cubic metres or 100s of cu ft?? Whichever it is(usually clearly visible on the meter face), does that show correctly on your bill from EON??0 -
Hi DAREDEVIL78,
Already a good couple of posts from the guys, so thanks
I think you need to have conversation with the consumption department at E.ON, is most of the usage on the gas or electric?
Are all of your bills accurate or estimates?
I agree with brewerdave, ask for your usage in kWh and pop this in to a comparison site.
Have you also checked your are on the right tariff for you? Also double check if your being billed on economy 7 or not, without storage heaters this is normally not needed.
Come back to me if you need any more help.
Thanks
Helena

Check that you gas bill and meter are both metric (M3 on meter) or imperial (ft3). If they dont match it can treble your gas bill.
As other have said post useage figures and break the £152 into gas and elec elements.IT Consultant in the utilities industry specialising in the retail electricity market.
