Looks like there is some money to be saved here, Bun.
Sorry to hear of your predicament. :grouphug:

    Hi Bunnie1982
Sorry to hear that you are having a bad time at the moment. This sounds like it is not just a money issue, how is the relationship going anyway? It is very difficult to tackle money problems if your partner is not supportive, what is the point of saving if your partner just spnds it all? Maybe you need to think very carefully what it is that you want out the relationship.

SOrry to hear that bunny but to make you feel better in an attempt to get some money I am selling my car for 6K and have bought another for 2K - banking 4K!! However, I was caught up in a scam and came bery close to losing a lot of money. Anyway this new car has so far cost over 1K in repairs and I havent sold the car yet! I am gutted! I hope that makes you feel better! Chin up.

Oh dear bunny I am sorry that you are having a cr ap time at the moment.
It sounds like the car/bus thing is the straw that has broken the camel's back so to speak. Things need to be sorted don't they?

I hope you feel stronger soon to be able to look at things clearly for solutions, even if it is just one simple thing somewhere.

It's the start of a New Year, don't let it drag on throughout 2007.....try to gather a little strength so you can begin to take control of things.

Come back to us for support.

Now that my head is a bit clearer I thought I would post an SOA to see if anyone can offer any money saving advice, I have included my OH's stuff even though he is already on a DMP.

He has worked out that he will cycle to work, but I am still left with the choice of walking or catching the bus, I think if the weather is fine I will walk and will only catch the bus if the weather is bad.

    GE Money Storecard: £820 - £35 per month - APR 29.9%
Pay Mum for Catalogue - £10 per month

If I have worked that out right it means that we should have a disposable income of £39.12 per month. I have no idea what my other half does with his money, because the money that he is meant to save through his CCCS plan he just spends.

I think my first step here is to get him to do a spending diary to see where his money is going.

The biggest problem with my money is that I changed from a permanent job at £15,000 per year to a temporary job which currently only pays £11500 per year until I am made permanent.

Any suggestions would be really useful x
