Performance Car Insurance

Can anyone point me in the right direction, I need an insurer who gives fair quotes for performance cars.
I'm 27, 6 years no claims, no accidents ever (touch wood) and have held my licence for 9 years. My car is a chrysler crossfire, 04 plate and I dont live in bad area. Yet, quotes come back £1,200 upwards from the screenscrapers, theres got to be someone out there who specifically deals with cars like this and gives a reasoble quote.
Thanks

That does seem very high unless there is something you arent tell us about

Randomly did a quote with Privilege for the coupe version (you didnt say if it roadster or coupe), estimated value £13,000 as per https://www.Parkers.co.uk and estimated annual mileage 10,000 miles and got a quote of £452
For the very short time I had a SL I wasnt even paying £1200All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

Hi - two long established high performance specialists are
A Plan 01635 874646
Peart 0870 240 2972
and you may wish to see how they compare with Privilege.

My advice would be to call as many co's as your patience allows. 0800 no's of course

We have a performance car, Nissan 350Z, I call lots of co's each year and we currently pay £430 for it through RAC. Last year it was slightly higher with ASDA, about £450ish.
Our info is different to yours though (obviously) We are 30 and 35, hubby has got points, I made a claim last year and hubby has got full NCB.
So even though you are much younger you have not got points or had any claims which might help.:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:0 -

I'm beginning to think somethings afoot. Does anyone know if there is any way I can check my insurance record, as the figure I'm getting dont add up.0 -
I doubt that all insurers websites are sophisticated to check records etc behind the scenes (I know that some dont). Either you havent given us all the details or your address is much worse in insurance terms than you believeAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

at a similar age, with a sports car, i always found elephant to be v good, then oddly enough last renewal i had to switch to Bell (despite having loads of NCB, and them being essentially the same firm) and saved even more.if it's more than 10 stone, and that hairy, it's probably not a dog...it may be a wookie.0

I once had a break in and started a claim with Admiral, I stopped the claim and paid to fix the car myself (beacuse they were a nightmare to deal with when things went wrong... dont ever use admiral, not matter how cheap the quote). I wonder is they kept it on my record or possibly the police records now show that our property has had a auto-break in?0
