Reclaiming Credit Card Charges

For the past three months I have read and re-read the posts here and decided was time to join in the fun...
I am actually in the process of claiming back my bank charges from HSBC, BUT cannot find anywhere on here that advices if we can do the same for 'unfair' credit card charges...
..Can we follow the same procedure and template letters... Anyone done this for credit cards, with or without sucess?
If there is a set procedure here and I have missed it, then I apologise, but its not through want of trying to find it!
Cheers Forum

Yes, you certainly can claim them back, as the principles are the same. I used the MSE template to successfully claim back credit card charges from Amex. All you need to do is slightly amend it to reflect the fact that it is credit card charges and not bank charges that you are claiming.0

Many thanks Clapton and Hanxx...
I shall indeed begin.
Would like to see some examples of credit card companies responses to Joe Public, still I'll be able to post my findings soon enough...0 -
In fact the OFT report and £12 figure was only on credit card fees - they are currently investigating the "correct" figure for loans and overdraftsAll posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers
