LG Direct Drive or Samsung Eco Bubble washer

After 5 years of Bosch and 10 years of Hotpoint we need a new washer and after looking around found that the champions of quietness and reliability now days are the Koreans with the above models.


Can anyone who own any washers from the above brands with the above technologies can comment about real day to day usage?

We have an LG Direct Drive, been using if for about 6 months now
To be honest, its used in utility room so dont really notice how much quieter it is when running

Our model takes 8kg which is quite a good load, and has a good choice of settings, it detects the weight of the load and calculates time to do wash
We have choice of 30 min rapid wash which is fine for economy wash

I must admit, dont suppose we will find out the benefits of not having belt drive until something goes wrong ( fingers crossed many years ahead) If I remember it has a 10 year guarantee..( although this only covers motor drive)washing machine has one years guarantee

I must admit I love the tune it plays when the wash load is done!
