When do I get the Howdens price?

We have had the designer out, I have a plan, we are going to see them next weekend to look at bits.
Will they give me a price then, or will she send it to the builder who will then pass it on to me?

(BTW they have suggested putting integrated WM in a 70/30 FF tower customised so it will house integrated WM below and boiler above. Could this then be set further away from the wall to house a freestanding WM? as it won't be able to have a back on it as the boiler will be in there?)

Thanks :)

Howdens customer isn't you. Their customer is your builder. Therefore they will send him the quote and he may or may not disclose it to you.

  • An integrated wm will not fit inside a carcass. As the designer how they intent to do this.

I got the impression they are smaller than regular ones, and thats how they were going to do it.. However-looking online they are still 600mm wide, and the same depth as freestanding, and the fridge/freezers are 540mm-so you are right-it won't fit :(

Looks like the independent guy who suggested putting freestanding one in 700mm cupboard is the winner ..... Lets hope he's cheap! Or do Howdens do a tall 700mm wide cupboard?

no they dont do a 700 wide cupboard, you might be able to put a slim dishwasher in the 600 tower unit or a oven below the boiler

Thanks, we already have a full sized DW.
Looking at the cupboard layout-tbh I think we are going to have to abandon the idea of WM or freezer under boiler :( The filter juts out loads, but that can be moved, but even then, the pipe work for the boiler means that a 55cm depth WM would stick out at least 8cm beyond the level of the cupboard already :(

So I think we shall just have a boiler cupboard, then WM and freezer beside that, and move the TD upstairs into a bedroom cupboard (means I'm less likely to use it too I suppose :D)

I have just had a Howdens kitchen or rather new doors and plinths end panels drawers etc. fridge sink worktops etc
I have no way of knowing how much things cost I was just given a price and the labour costs added on.
The labour costs have escalated partly my fault in that I was not going to take the floor up or have plugs resited etc and this has all added to the overall cost. The kitchen does look great and my Joiner is excellent if not quite slow in how he works.
I don't think I would ever have a job done without knowing what everything costs
