20th July- 3 days to go
I went to my friends house tonight as she was doing my waxing and nails- it took forever as we talked loads haha.was good fun J

21st July- 2 days to go
I finished work today J- we all went for a drink after work which was lovely J

22nd July Friday- get married tomorrow!
Got up and watched Jeremy Kyle haha.
I then went to my chief bridesmaid house to pick up my dress and veil- which I had dropped off to her the previous week.
I went to the dry cleaners to pick up the bridesmaids dresses as I had them pressed. I went home and hung everything up.
My uncle from Spain arrived last night and him and my dad popped over this morning to say hello. I had asked my dad to pick up the order of the day and table plan from my other uncles printers- which he did and he brought them to me.
At this point I was feeling ok- bit strange but I knew I had things to do to keep me occupied.
I was due at the venue at 4 to decorate it—but I got to excited and I rang them just after 3 to see if room was ready- it was- and I arrived at 3.30.
A few weeks before I had made sure that every table had its own box and I knew who was sitting where.
I took pictures of before and after. It didn’t take me too long to do- I left at 4.30- so it took an hour—I knew I wasn’t going to get the full effect of everything together as the chair covers were being done later on and the flowers in the morning.
7.30pm my youngest (15) bridesmaid comes and we have a pizza and watch the soaps.
I was starting to get nervous now and was feeling a bit sick.
10.30 My other bridesmaid comes.
We have a few drinks and I give them their dressing gowns (personalised) they loved them J
The bridesmaids decided they didn’t want to see my dress until I get dressed tomorrow.
11ish I got a bbm (blackberry message) picture from ohs sister (36yeras old)- it was a flower button hole thingy—she told me that they had all made them and would be wearing them tomorrow.
Queue MASSIVE BRIDESZILLA moment from me!
I was really really annoyed that no one had mentioned this to me before—Why would all the guests wear a flower- I had never ever heard of this before and why isn’t the bride consulted. And what made it worse- they were fake flowers- I could tell from the picture. And they were fake white/cream roses--- I had real white/cream roses in my bouquet, bridesmaids bouquet, all the flower arrangements--- so they would look stupid.
So I went off on one! (We are allowed to right?!!)- I messaged her back saying- why was I not told that you were making flowers, she messaged back saying- every wedding she had been to the guests wear flowers and she would be wearing it. I replied with- well I have never heard of that, it wasn’t in my books, magazines, forum, pictures, and not what I wanted for my wedding.
By this time it was 2am- and I was really upset that this was the way the night before my wedding/start of my wedding day was turning out. I managed to fall asleep.

23rd July- MY WEDDING DAY!
7am I woke up- still upset about the flower thing- but I got up and had breakfast- my younger bridesmaid got up to and we watched tv.
The sun was shinning!
9am ish my other bridesmaid gets up.
By this time my stomach was really churning and I felt really sick!
I had some toast at 10.30ish to try and settle my stomach.
This morning went really slow!!
10.30ish my dad rings my mobile (I had taken the landline off the hook!)
He said that my mother in law to be had rang him upset about the flowers—I wasn’t happy that she had rang him as his daughter was getting married today! My dad told me just to drop it and leave them to it- I had to agree (for now!)
He then rang again about 30 mins later saying that she had asked whether I had any preferences/grievances with what make up or jewellery they were. At this point I was really upset and just wanted her to leave me alone- my dad said she was being silly and just to ignore her- I was so annoyed she was bugging him. I told him that she likes to make a drama even if there isn’t one.
11.30 the florist turns up with the bouquets- and I loved them! This was the point where I felt it was my wedding day and it was real!
11.55 we walked down the road to the hairdressers- this was funny as I took my veil and tiara (veil was very long!) 183979_2088752111905_1638292256_2084599_254281_n.jpg
206171_2088752311910_1638292256_2084600_4438714_n.jpg12.00 arrived at hairdressers. My hair was done first- it took 1 hour.
While I was having hair done one of the bridesmaids had her make up- then after my hair I had make up done.
I welled up when 1 of my bridesmaids finished her hair- it looked lovely—and it was just after my make up had been done so I had to stop myself!!
1pm- photographer arrived and took pictures..
2.30ish we finished at hairdressers- the sun is still amazing!
2.30 my chief bridesmaid comes to my flat
2.35ish we had lunch- I brought sandwiches from tesco
2.55 bridesmaids got in their dresses- this didn’t take too long- all their dresses were lace up and I became a pro at it haha
3.00 I got a text from a friend saying that her, her daughter and husband cant come as they were getting their daughter ready to come and just noticed she has spots and they think its chicken pox- ahhhh!! I had to ring the hotel quickly to say that 3 guests weren’t coming and could they move the table around- there was nothing I could do about the table plan but could they take the 3 places off the table and move another couple from another table.
3.00 my dad and his girlfriend turn up- I set them to work on cutting the stems off the bouquets and taking them out of water.
3.10 my car turned up—not ready yet!
3.00-3.30 getting into my dress. Bridesmaids did well with this J I nearly forgot to give the bridesmaids the bracelets I had brought them- and this was done rushed while I was getting ready.
I was really shaking at this point!
3.30 I walked around the flat for a few mins- my dress seemed a little longer than I remembered- it wasn’t until the day after that I realised if I had put my hoop up a little more then it would have helped (big tip!)
I put deodorant on, my jewellery, and we were ready to go.
The last 3 hours just flew!!!
3.30 get in car (was meant to leave at 3.15)
Bridesmaids get in my dads girlfriend car.
Car was amazing- it was a pressie by my uncle. In the car we didn’t really speak a lot as I knew it would make me cry. I was just trying to think if I had forgotten anything and tried to keep calm. I put my head on my dads shoulder at one point in the car and that made me well up- and I had to bite my lip.223772_10150318783849493_652759492_9306307_3030173_n.jpg
3.55 arrive at hotel (early hehe) my mum and bridesmaids and a few other family members were waiting at the entrance. I couldn’t see anyone else as the garden is long and covered with trees.
The registrar spoke to me and my dad- all they ask is you to confirm your details, and my dads occupation.
The sun is shinning still and its gorgeous! So glad that we get to get married outside!

4ish-
The registrar walks down to the pavilion where we are getting married.
I give my engagement ring to my dad.
I put my veil over my face.
the wedding coordinator walks us down the lawn and he tells me that it looks better if the bridesmaids goes first.
I link arms with my dad- and at this point I can see some of the guests who are all pointing cameras at us.
I was really shaking!

My song starts (Glasgow love theme)- I keep saying ‘This is weird, it doesn’t seem real’. ‘oh my god!’

The next things is I see my bridesmaids leave and walk to the pavilion, and I move forward a little- I can see the wedding coordinator who ushers me and my dad to walk over the bridge and stop there for a few seconds.205920_2134031627008_1132567657_3136547_6170062_n.jpg
281668_2134031387002_1132567657_3136546_7604194_n.jpgWe 223974_238325256189967_100000374847223_742733_1754504_n.jpgstopped252038_10150711557235291_718615290_19710269_1911769_n.jpg- and I looked everywhere- I could see everyone (I tried to take it all in and look and everyone)
We then walked to the pavilion and I looked at everyone- great picture of me taking a huge deep breath! 188287_10150711558375291_718615290_19710288_4133718_n.jpg
283226_10150711558130291_718615290_19710284_1614599_n.jpgMy dad took my veil from over my face and the ceremony begins! 283448_2134032147021_1132567657_3136549_8315488_n.jpg
217523_10150711558905291_718615290_19710301_2107677_n.jpgI can’t remember much about the words! I am looking forward to seeing it on the dvd!
The first time I had to say something I managed a couple of words and couldn’t speak anyone- I had hidden a tissue down my boobs!- good tip! I reached for that and the registrar offered me a glass of water which I had a sip of.
My dad’s girlfriend did a reading and the registrar did one for us later on.
I managed the rest of the words without tears- I just kept on smiling—my oh was emotional and just about managed to keep it in.
We then had to sign the registrar and pose with a fake pen for the photos. 206198_10150254228912638_507642637_7733429_7620758_n.jpg217432_10150738966025595_796600594_20040542_6215409_n.jpg
We were announced husband and wife and registrar gave us the certificates.283223_10150711548215291_718615290_19710106_1707558_n.jpg254765_10150254229232638_507642637_7733432_969868_n.jpg

I wanted a picture of all the guests- so the photographer got everyone and did this photo on the steps. 285270_234105839955242_100000674845958_750666_2198703_n.jpg251754_234142589951567_100000674845958_750744_6724373_n.jpg

Me and my husband (!) then went into the room which has the bar, sweetie table, poker table, games etc in- and welcomed everyone in with a glass of bucks fizz, orange juice—
This gave everyone a chance to walk past the car as not many saw it- and everyone was able to say hello and congrats to us.
It also gave us a chance to see peoples faces when they saw the poker table with the personalised chips, giant jenga and giant connect 4—these all went down soo well and highly recommend them! 281414_200471683340467_100001329106266_485869_2285604_n.jpg223812_10150717924850032_514030031_19733906_6491251_n.jpg
The sun was shining- it was amazing- and patio is open for drinks outside.

Photographer then took us and the bridal party away for photos- this was about 5-5.40 ish.
When the group ones were done everyone went away and it was just me, husband, photographer and videographer—we had our shots- and we asked for time alone—we sat on a bench in the sun- we kept saying ‘oh we are married!!’.
251397_238326072856552_100000374847223_742741_3022474_n.jpg
We went back into the room and I played some jenga (what a great picture!)216601_238326216189871_100000374847223_742742_7713850_n.jpg254381_238326366189856_100000374847223_742744_4101426_n.jpg

Everyone absolutely loved the sweetie table- everyone said that they hadn’t seen it before and it was a great idea! J

6.35 the rest of the room was opened up and everyone took their seats. Wedding coordinator put us in the patio and we were announced in the room as the bride and groom J

229690_10150711568125291_718615290_19710452_2666012_n.jpg6.40 speeches!
My dad started- his was lovely- he went for the funny rather than the really emotional as he knew he could he wouldn’t be able to do it!
Then the best man- he was wonderful- his speech was great and he did a great job! He gave my husband the letter from Man U which he loved, and I lit a candle in remembrance of my aunty and grandma. (everyone said this was lovely to me afterwards)
My husbands—oh this was amazing and made me cry and everyone did- he called me his soulmate and just was pure romantic and amazing. I can’t wait to see this on dvd J250164_2134035227098_1132567657_3136563_6433923_n.jpg
Everyone loved the bride and groom tissues J

    7.20ish buffet.
Now I love my food- and I always said that I would eat loads- but you just don’t (or at least I didn’t) the food was amazing- and everyone commented on it- but I just had a knot in my tummy and I couldn’t eat much!
It was about time for another row!!—my husband has 3 sisters- 15, 21 and 36- the 15 and 21 year olds were my bridesmaids as well as my best friend (who was chief). The older sister decided she was going to throw a paddy and walk out the room at this point- telling her sis that she felt left out as the pictures were done and she wasn’t in any of them (I didn’t want to spend hours doing pictures so I only wanted the bridal party really- so this is what happened (its my wedding right!). she threw a paddy as the other sisters got a gift and she didn’t. Mother in law told me about this at the top table and I told her I didn’t want to know as it was my wedding day and she needs to grow up. Husband said he will get photographer to do more photos (we had her until after first dance anyway- and more photos was the plan anyway- but I wasn’t going to tell her this!)

8ish I think (I lost sense of time!)
    First dance- Endless love
At the top table me and hubby agreed we would get my dad and his mum up to dance.
So half way through the song I searched for my dad and he got his mum J252051_200474666673502_100001329106266_485899_1163919_n.jpg
    224477_10150319650471343_516221342_9662041_3183852_n.jpg
    Then let the dancing begin!

    251587_238327899523036_100000374847223_742762_5251118_n.jpg

Dj was fab and I spent from 8.30 until 12 on the dance floor! There were times were it was just me!- which annoyed me- but hey I had a good time!!

About 10ish me, hubby and best man took all the pressies up to the hotel room.

I had about 5 shots and 2 other drinks- I wasn’t drunk. Husband had many- and was haha.

Dj was meant to stop at 12- but I don’t think it was until later.

The guests who weren’t staying then went home- and the guests that were went to another bar- by this time is was about 1.30.

Me and hubby went to bed then—it took ages for me to get all my clips out of my hair!

Next morning—24th July- first day of marriage!
We woke up about 8ish- hubby went for a walk around the gardens to sober up haha.

9am we went down to breakfast- a few of the guests were there. And some commented on the gift bags I had putting their rooms- one said that their dress ripped and they desperately needed the sewing kit I put in it J
I was wearing my bride hoodie and I had given hubby a tshirt saying ‘game over’ hehe

    Time for more drama!—
Hubby went over to his sister (the 36yr old) and asked if she was ok- she said no.
At this point I did not want to know anything- it was the morning after my wedding and I just did not want to know! So after breakfast I saw my family and packed everything in the cars—one car was just full of flowers- there were so many!!
Refer to bottom of report for more of an update on this!!

    11am- check out time
My dad and his girlfriend took me home and hubby to town to take all the suits back

Later that day we opened all the pressies and I wrote a list of who got us what (good tip!)

    Monday- back to work!!!!

Monday night- me and hubby read the guest book. One comment in particular really made me cry- it was my uncle saying that my aunty (who died some years ago) would be really proud of me J

I really struggled with my emotions this week- I kept crying! On Tuesday on the way home in the car hubby asked if I was ok and I burst into tears!
-a few days before the wedding I was due on my period and I got a pill from the doctor to delay this—so I don’t know if my emotions were due to hormones, post wedding blues and just general emotions. But I was a mess this week!

Sunday 31st July comes and we went on honeymoon

Now- I feel a lot better!- I go away 2 weeks tomorrow for my best friends wedding in Cyprus J

It is mixed emotions now!- I LOVE being married, love it! Love having a husband! But its weird not planning anymore!

And the drama I talked about the day after the wedding— I have been learning little bits of this over the last 3 weeks!

Well it seems that noone went to bed after we did---
One of hubby’s brothers got very very very very drunk— he was squaring up to a lot of people (hubby family- not mine- mine had all gone to bed before/same time as me)
He squared up to and was about to head butt hubby’s brother in law- who punched him, kicked him and knocked him out.
Long story short- he broke a picture in reception, police were called, he was taken to hospital, didn’t wait in hospital and just went home- leaving his future wife and their 5 children at the hotel worrying about him, and worrying about how they will pay for hotel.
Apparently he used to be like this with drink and hasn’t drunk for a long time.
Mother in law isn’t speaking to her daughter (hubbys 36yr old sister)- as it was her husband who punched her son, and he isn’t talking to her son.
Me- I am gutted! I wanted everything to be perfect and they made it not!
As far as I am concerned my wedding ended at about 1.30ish when we went to bed- it should have ended there!
People have been saying that as far as they are concerned it was not part of the wedding- and they had a wonderful day and it was perfect.
I am hoping it will blow over soon- the men are all talking and have made it up.

Everyone loved the disposable cameras- i have taken them to be processed and they will be ready tomorrow :) more pictures
everyone loved the sweetie table, their favours, the food, the venue, the flip flops! :)they all commented on how amazing everything was :)
    My tips
Check whether guests want to wear flowers!
Look around- enjoy it- it will go fast!

Make sure people go to bed when you are!

Ooh - looks and sounds like you had a lovely day!!!

Ignore the bits after you went to bed, they didnt concern you. My Bridesmids had a massive bust up when they got back to my house (they all stayed there as we had a non hotel reception). Am still only hearing parts of what happened and thats 3 months after the wedding!
