Anyone with OVO Energy?

OK, right now I'm with Eon and have been happy with their service. However, after another letter about another price hike, I've had enough. I'm currently paying an average of £85pm for dual fuel, (3 bed semi) and this is set to go up to 100pm next month. I currently cannot possibly pay £100 per month alongside all other bills, so have done an online comparision through a MSE link, which has brought up OVO as being the best dual fuel rate, fixed for a year.

Does anyone here have OVO and are you happy with the service?

    Hi,

I was with Ovo last year and thought they were very good ... in my experience excellent customer service until I decided to leave for a cheaper supplier in May (BG) then they seem to drag their feet in giving back any money they owe for over payment.

But would I go back to them if they offered the best deal ... you bet.

Other threads on here in last week or so. Generally positive, just a few niggles about DDs not being reduced. My contract ends on 30 September and more likely to renew than not I think.

I phoned up OVO and asked for the final balance back. It was in my bank 3 days later.
  • Joined yesterday on their Fixed Plan, going to save about £100+ quid over BG's Onlinesaver 3 .. plus they actually lowered the price of gas to compensate for the electricity increase which is perfect as I use more gas in the winter for heating, they use more renewable energy than the 'big 6' also which is nice

Seems like good positive comments all round. I am seriously considering moving from Eon. Had good service from Eon but now have to think about what's cheapest, since the bills are just going through the roof.

Also joined Ovo yesterday on their Fixed Plan. I was also with Eon, on saver 4 plan, but two price hikes this year and i only switched in February. On my comparison check NPower were cheaper but if they raise their prices, which they will do, in the next few weeks then Ovo will beat them easily.

    Should save over £100.00.

Managing the account online is also welcomed - lets hope its as good as Eon's online service which was excellent

It appears Ovo's electricity price is were the saving is. The gas price, with all the providers, was within a few pounds of what i currently pay.

Switch via Quidco and earn a few extra £££
