Faulty TOMTOM help!

Hi
My other half is a Trucker and we bought a tomtom 'truckers' satnav which cost us £400.
Its faulty and tomtom are refusing to help him and have refered him to the company who sold it him and they are saying that its nothing to do with them and to 'wipe' the screen to see if that helps!
We can't afford a new one and using my normal one would put him at risk because of bridge heights and weight limits.
Can we do anything or will we have to find the money for him to buy a new one?
The warrently ran out on May 18th
Thanks
Michelle

Tomtom are quite right, it's nothing to do with them. You have to go back to the retailer and see if you can a remedy under the SOGA. Was it a private or business purchase?0

Do you know what the fault is?0

the screen seems to be scrolling by itself, looking through police stations in Leicester while my hubby is in Wales!!
Whats SOGA
and it was bought through his business.

Try resetting factory settings, he will have to enter any favourites etc, but that appears to be the only option.0
