I am 2.5 months from my 25th birthday. Lloyds tsb say that my under 25 excess will remain on my policy for 12 months if I take it out before my birthday.
There is nothing stopping me cancelling my existing policy on my birthday and taking it out again without the extra excess....
Question is ... whats stopping me from getting quidco £120 cashback twice?
I am aware I will lose 2.5 months contribution to my NCB.

Nothing stops you getting Quidco twice, go for it  Check there isn't an admin fee for cancellation though - Lloyds don't have any fees for cancelling home insurance :beer:0

You would need to really speak to the online marketing team at Lloyds to see their rules rather than some sales person in the call centre to check their rules.
I wonder how much longer that insurance will appear on the likes of Quidco? Looking at TradeDoubler Lloyds themselves warn affiliates like Quidco that if they give any promotion or incentive for getting people to follow the link (eg giving them cashback) that they will be liable to prosecution by the FSA. I know our marketing team has been seeing teams of solicitors recently as they believe that quidco could be thrown in jail but that we as an insurer allowing them to do it would also cause us to get into trouble. All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

I doubt the validity of that statement - suggest you check again with the insurer. Most reputable insurers will apply the excess based on the age you are at the time of the incident, not from the date you were when you effected cover !!0 -
