Hello all
I was just wondering what is the quickest way to recieve updates on the houses that become available. I have just put my information and specifications on a website called https://www.email4property.co.uk. This website covers all the estate agents in the area you specify. Is this quickest way to recieve details, or would it be quicker to phone them up.

Rightmove have a reminder service which emails you daily, if you wish, with all new properties that fit the criteria you set.
I wouldn't phone agents, I'd go in, have a chat and get yourselves on their mailing lists. Most are rubbish at sending anything at all, tbh. Rightmove doesn't miss much however.Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Have you considered putting a wanted ad in the local newspaper? A decent sized ad houldn't cost much and you might find a seller befor e they go to an EA.

In my experience (as an EA) the best thing is to visit (or second best) ring all the estate agents in your required area. The internet is great, don't get me wrong but sales particulars aren't usually uploaded until they have been approved by the vendors and this can take a few days. I work for an agency where as soon as a new instruction comes in we ring our applicants and tell them about the new properties and arrange viewings that way. So, if you are in regular contact with the local agencies you will be in the forefront of their minds when something suitable comes onto the market.
Hope this helps.Getting older is inevitable, growing up is optional :rotfl:0 -
Hi I agree with no1gymbunny,
I am an agent and the best way to make sure we call you is make sure we know you. Drop in if you live local to the area you want to be in, I have some people who pop their head round the door daily, say 'hi dont forget me' and leave every day after the school drop! Others phone 2-3 times a week. Providing you are ready to go eg: nothing to sell or under offer they will remember you.
Smile, we don't like grumpy people, personalities can come into it. We will have to deal with you as a buyer and friendly, easy going ones are the best!
Other than the agents own web site Right move is the best one. Agents update from our offices. So it shoould be bang up to date.
Good luck
