Well.... after 7 months of letters backwards and forwards from HSBC and numerous phone calls, I finally received a letter from them on Saturday telling me they had upheld my complaint and that they were offering me a full refund from all 3 loans I've had with them over the past 12 years!!
Result! They've offered me a settlement of £15,675.21!!
I've completed the acceptance form and that was back in the post to them on Saturday too.
My question is... as they pay it by transfer straight into my HSBC current account, does anyone know how long it takes for them to make the payment?
Thanks in advance!!
Stuart

Hi Stuart
That is fab.
Congratulations!
I know it can vary from one bank to the other, but most of them are 21/28 days after they receive the signed acceptance, however there is no harm in ringing them just to make sure, and double check on how they will be doing this, cheque or directly into your bank account, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

With this being direct transfer,it shouldnt be too long.0 -
That's brilliant, well done.
Did you write 3 seperate complaint letters to HSBC about your personal loans?
I'm looking though my HSBC box of files, I have 7 personal loans going back to 2002 (I was mad I'm sure) and each of those have got PPI on them. I dare not add up how much each was.
I'm wondering, how would I find out how much PPI I actually paid? As each loan would have superceded (sp?) the last one and the PPI / loan would have been paid off... any ideas as to what I should write?
Thank you!0 -
Well done also, I am in the same situation as you, with my complaint now upheld. However they are waiting to tell me the figures on a £10k loan (£2.9k PPI). Are there any interest figures mentioned in your settlement?
