But in a swan like way - Serene on the outside but churning up like heck inside so she cant see the worry rising:o

Lovely sunny day here. Going to take pen and paper outside and start my plan of plans;) Will no doubt get distracted but hey ho

Cavity wall insulation people are here - well been here for past hour and a half. 2 men with very big drills and a very long hose as far as I can see:rotfl::rotfl:. Unfortunately they had to drill from the inside in the bedroom ( had been told they could reach that part of wall from outside by the first person who came round which meant me and DD2 had to spring into action to move furniture - not least the bed - had been on my list of to do's this week - crikey where does that fluff come from:eek: Good job we plan to redecorate the bedroom sometime this year. Also got to have a vent fitted in kitchen wall as we have a solid fuel stove and it has to have some air to draw on - this job is getting bigger by the minute.
Just had knock on door they are cleaning up now so all done:T

Had a very cultural evening last night - went to see a concert given by Catrin Finch ( harpist). Fab - traditional, classical and very contemporary pieces - I just love the electric harp. DD2 did have lessons at school but we really couldn't afford to buy her her own harp - we would have had to up graded to an estate car to transport the damned thing more than anything :rotfl: Thank goodness she stuck to the clarinet;)

Already feeling the benefits of the free cavity wall insulation - blizzard last night and no howling draughts - result!

Have got the house to myself for most of today - must do something productive rather than sit here - bathroom I think - wild living eh?!

Hell! 2 hours later and I emerge from bathroom with much pouring of different types of gloop into bottles - i.e. half bottles of shampoo/conditioner of the same brand - reduced the bottles by half I think. Also thrown some out completely( recycled bottles) really too old now. My little frugal brain saying 'no use it up' but they definitely have that whiff of 'beyond their natural' about them. Also about half a carrier of half used/out of date medicines - for a fairly healthy bunch we had a small branch of B**ts in the cupboard :rotfl: Folded up all the towels and bedding. Found some Christmas presents I forgot about last year so they will do this year. Also found a load of laundry:mad: and where the purr balls have been hiding: snuggled up to the hot water tank! Havent even started cleaning yet. Aim is to get that done before yoga tonight

Well done getting your bathroom sorted Igamogam. :jAnd finding the presents. Bonus! Those purry fur balls...ours hide in the towel cupboard too, snuggled up against the hot water pipes. Oldest grumpy lady kitty also manages to pull the towels back in behind her so you can only see two wee eyes looking out at you. Sometimes when it's stormy I wish I could jump in there next to her. :D

Your concert sounds wonderful indeed. Nothing like some live music to lift your spirits. I had a friend at uni who decided to teach herself harp. Actually, it was a clarsach. After a few months she went to a concert and realised she's been holding it the wrong way round. :rotfl:She was gutted!

Am jealous of your new draught-free house! Must remember to nag OH about the homemade double glazing. :D
If you know you have enough, you're rich. ;)

Up with the lark this morning - well a bunch of very noisy Jays:pThe mountains looked absolutely fab in the early morning sun - sparkling with a pink sugar coating. Anybody up and out early would have a cracking day before the mass hoards arrive for the weekend. But I decided to go to gym for a swim instead only to find out it didnt open til 6.30 - I thought it was 6:eek:. So did a quick swish around MrT and spent £35 on b00ger all. Back to the gym and managed 40 lengths in the company of the hairy torpedo and the octagenerian with no lane discipline/etiquette - they are always there no matter what time I go - why??

Then a trip into the big town ( well big for us hill-billies and I havent been there since December) to the wool emporium as DD2 has experessed a desire to knit - spent about and hour talking her down from her great ambitions of fancy fair isles and cable sweaters ( now I dont mind ambition but I do belive in realism:D) and finally spent £8.99 on wool and pattern for hat scarf and glove set - she of course wants to start with the gloves - ooo I feel much teenage harumphing coming on and that will be from me:D

Well its a gorgeous day here. Just had an email form a very good friend who is kindly organising an event to celebrate my next significant birthday - I had no idea. I don't mean I am in denial that I click over into the next decade very soon :rotfl::rotfl: I mean I had no ideas she was on the case;)

Need a fringe trim so off there later and pay coal bill on way home - I had forgotten and we will need more next week:(

OMG I feel worn out after reading your last few posts!! You're like a whirlwind, Mrs!!! I remember asking my Nan to teach me to knit. I'm not sure who gave up 1st :p My attention span was zilch. I only ever got as far as making things big enough for my Sindy doll!!
One step at a time ;)
