That is the answer I expected. So when I buy a house, I must make sure I get certificates for electrical work from the previous owner, and then pass these on along with any I get to the next owner. But if I don't get them, and I sell and they find non compliant work ...
It sounds to me like a kerfuffle and it will not be taken seriously until someone dies, or a fire starts, due to faulty electrics, and then the police might search for certificates.
It is certainly another way for conveyancing solicitors to earn themselves money.Warning: This forum may contain nuts.0 -
