We've been with Npower for just about a year, monthly direct debit started at £20 last March, went up progressively to £28.50 (last payment 2nd January) and we've just received a letter from them saying that because we're so much in credit, monthly payment is reduced to £25 next month and they're refunding £79.95 to our joint account!
Good news to start the year!
In addition, we're getting our new gas boiler on Monday 8th January courtesy of the WarmFront grant. This type of boiler is said to reduce gas consumption by 30% (a condensing-type boiler is more efficient) so the gas bills should fall too. At present we're paying £56 a month which is a 100% increase over the year - it started last year at £28, so any reduction is welcome.

Your lucky.
Just got my first year statement.
Gas £100 in credit which they refunded but put UP the DD from £23 per month to £28.
Can't be botthered to argue with them as I will be changing as soon as I get the £60 rebate for dual supply and paying by DD.
Talking of which. Since I've been with them for over a year now. Does anyone know how and when this rebate is given?
Or even has anyone acutally recieved it?0 -
