We have the capped credit charges to thank for this...0

One of the better cc companies out there imo and with the amount of promotions they offered will be missed if taken over.0

I think its a very worrying time for all the people affected, like myself although i do dont directly work for them if they were to close and to be honest no matter who they sell to it will affect me and many good people i know.0

mbna good riddace ,am self employed and and had a card with mbna since the early 90s never missed any payments or was late with payments until the recession hit when my earnings were badly affected was not until last year i had to go to the CAB who arranged with them that they would would stop he interest on my card all was well until they had to uphold my complaint that ever since i had had the card they were taking ppi payments from me ,Today had a letter from them saying that my credit agreement had been cancelled and they had registered a default at the credit reference angencies and all the other jargon about debt collectors and county courts will have to ring them tomorrow to find my fate i know i owe them money still and will have to pay it back but where is the redress for these this company who stole money from me every month for nearly twenty years .GOODBYE MBNA with a two finger salute0

The best company for existing customer deals. Not had any problems with them. Yet another blow to the consumer for choice.0

Thing is i did not have a crystal ball when i took my card out in the 90,s was not unitil 2008 that as a self employed person that the recession halved my earnings you can slag all us who got into trouble if you like but was it not the money men of this world that caused us all this grief in the first place ??Yeahman, they should run a test at the end of the application with various questions relating to the T&C and if you get under 85% you're declined or redirected back to the T&C until you can get 85%+ on the test :beer:0 -
it was gready banks, politics and consumersDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

MBNA have been great for me, I have had at least three 0% deals from them and they have helped me to pay off my debts over the past 5 years. I've always found their customer service to be excellent.Official DFW Nerd No 096 - Proud to have dealt with my debt!0

I wouldn't panic all, it could be on the market for years, not many companies out there who can afford to buy it, 4000 jobs in one city at risk when it does go though, not great for Chester0

Another company that will be bought by Barclays who will then strip out all the good offers....0
