I have a cheapy Technika mp3 player. When i plug it into computer it thinks its a lexmark product but after hours of trying i have finally worked out how to get songs on it...i drag them from my itunes playlist(from my cds) and put it into the mp3(which is described as a MSCN according to my computer. Now the songs are in it but dont play(the demo on it plays so i know it works).
It describes the demo as MP3 on it but the songs i added say MPEG4 what am i doing wrong.I am computer illiterate!

Your MP3 player plays MP3 encoded tracks and possibly WMA but you have added MPEG4 which is incompatible. You need to rip tracks to MP3 and then copy them over onto your MP3 player for them to play. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

OK, try copying an MP3 track across to your MP3 player and see if that works. I don't use iTunes, so can't tell you how to do it with that but the latest version of Windoze Media Player can convert tracks to MP3 IF you select MP3 as the option. (If you don't it will convert them to WMA files) Or download a free MP3 track from the net and copy that across. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0
