The easy retort is to ask why do they specifically train their fitters to look out for design errors? As they say their fitters would have noticed the errors, they are admitting there were indeed errors made.0

I don't fit kitchens, but do a fair bit of kitchen electrics
Over 80% of the time the drawing is out, or completely wrong
Kitchen companies ALWAYS have get out of jail free disclaimers in the small print- as Phil99 has mentioned
As you have not used their fitter (and not paid their extra price) you will be the project manager and therefore the buck stops with you
