I couldn't get to sainsburys today but will definately go tomorrow!
They were doing bags of satsumas for 1p the other day. This was only in one store because they had put the reduced labels on them, even though they still had a week left on the best before date!0 -
I got 2 at my local Sainsburys, mine were also right at the entrance of the store next to fresh flowers. They were marked as 1p in a big sign with manager's special. I got the last 2 left and saw a few other people in the store with some.
Thanks to the lady who let me have one of hers!0 -
These are nice for all year round. I have two packets in a vase which is my the fireplace. I was going to get those twigs that have lights but this will do until we move and I get some of the lights ones too.0

I think it would have been a different story if the display ticket had actually advertised them at a penny. People obviously walked past them while still marked at 75p even though that was 75% off original price.
Even the sales assistant that served me asked me to get her two. (at the tobacco kiosk - didn't want to go back into the store with my 'already paid for' shopping)
Pleased to have helped someone.

Thanks - would have bought loads when I saw them if they had been marked up right!!!
Still I bought some nice crocus for £2 marked down from £8 and a hyacinthin (excuse the spelling) for £1 marked down from £4.
So it was worth the trip - there was loads of electrical stuff cheap also!!!

woohooo I got a bag full of bargains last night including these. Spent under £10 and got 5 bags full :T They had LOADS of the party food boxes reduced to 50p each but if you buy 2 you get a 98p discount meaning they were just a penny a box from £2.98. Then there was the massive chocolate christmas cake thing which was 99p from £10.99 (I think), satsumas & potatoes a penney each, half price bucket of maltesers - way to much to list. Sainsbury's are by far the best for reductions I think, you really can pick up some bargains
My advice is to get down there as there are lots of items going out of code in the next few days and they have a lot left. :j :j0
