Sainsbury's 1p deals! (merged)

Just been into Sainsburys in Grimsby and noticed a woman buying these Christmas Twigs. I asked if they'd been reduced a lot and she said they were a penny! The lady a customer services had told her.

Christmas Glitter Twig Bundle gold or silver (barcode 0136 6440)
was £3 sign said reduced to 75p scanned at 1p

also

Christmas Decoration Selection (barcode 0122 5310)
was £2.50 also scanning at 1p (I got last one)

A few gold twig bundles left but staff were 'buying' them (obviously putting them by to buy later).

Not worth making a special journey but worth looking if your going near Sainsburys.

Thanks - there were loads at Stoke Sainsburys last nite but the mark up was 75p - worth it at 1p.

Do Sainsburys prices stay consistent across all their stores?

good question, anyone shed any light on this? I know tesco dont always follow this on their clearance reductions, had bad experience in the past.

I don't know but that's why I put Sainsburys Grimsby. My twigs are in a vase next to my (at the moment 'dummy') fireplace - I'll get it sorted when I have some spare money.

It's a shame all big stores don't have the price checkers like Tesco & Netto. They seem to be in all big stores in USA including Walmart.

There wasn't any sign saying 1p Ety, only the one saying 75p. It was only me seeing the other lady buying some that made me ask how much they were.

Just got 3 packets just now. OH been at work at Sainsburys brought some home.

I just found out in our store they werent for sale to the public. They were in warehouse to be sold to the staff for 1p.

Bought 3 at Sainsburys Castle Court Bristol. Checked price and was advised 1p to which point the sales assistant asked me where I picked them up.

They had loads at the front by the fresh flowers and they were just putting out another box by the artifical flowers. HTH!:p
