I am thinking of buying a Kindle for someone who has impaired sight.
Can anyone tell me what the voice is like on the "audio" bit that reads the books for you? is it a human voice or an awful computer one?
Thanks for any input.

an awful computer one just about sums it up.
I would look for an MP3 player with audio book compatibility.Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow..

I'm sure the kindle can play mp3's though - but it would be cheaper just to buy a stand alone mp3 player if that's all you were using it for.0
