I always have a purse, couldn't be without it
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
I don't carry the same handbag so it would be impractical not to have a purse.0

I've downsized to a Kipling Breezer bag with matching purse, both in Fuchsia.
I need a big purse because I have so many cards and, being self employed, loads of receipts as I don't do my books as often as I should.
When I go back to the big black bag at least I will be able to find the purse!0 -

Thanks for your replies. I have tried but I somehow don't think the 'no purse' thing is working, it is with the notes but I find it fiddly with small change, can't seem to get it out quick like in a purse.
I find the separate card wallet useful though as it stops my purse from getting too bulky, does anyone else use a seperate card wallet?0 -
i've never fancied the idea citygirl as inevitably i'd forget and then find myself in a position where i dont have the card i want on me.
I'd rather spend the money on a purse i love that has the right compartments for my needs. I carry cards (credit/debit/store loyalty/ID), paper £, coins, coupons, stamps and reward cards (eg for hairdressers, coffee shop) as a matter of course in my purse.
I've recently bought a nifty little coin purse for foreign currency when i'm away.
by using a card wallet, you're not really carrying less, just transporting it differently IYSWIM? Have you gone through the contents of your purse with a fine tooth comb to see if there's stuff there that (virtually) never sees the light of day and can therefore stay at home?know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -

Hi I see what you mean. My friend always says you shouldn't have your cards with your money for some reason. My friend's wallet card though is treble the thickness of her purse.
I use a medium sized purse, not the long ones but the ones where you double up the notes to put them in if you see what I mean. I carry credit/debit cards, coupons, stamps etc like you do. I try to sort them out and leave some at home but then I always end up having a lot on me 'just in case', like if I left my library card at home I'd probably want to go to the library on a day I haven't got the card on me and things like that. I have my work ID and security cards in my bag all the time as if I kept them out of my bag at weekends I'd end up turning up at work on a Monday without them and being stuck
By the way, sorry to sound thick but what does IYSWIM mean :O0 -
