Do you use a purse?

I've been trying to downsize my bag but don't know if I'm succeeding really. I've bought a small organiser bag that fits most things in but my purse, although its not big, is still bulky. A friend of mine never uses a purse as she had hers pinched so now she keeps her money in a zip compartment in her bag and also her cards. I have bought a wallet for my cards as they were really making my purse heavy and I am trying to put my money in the a compartment in my bag but I don't know if this is working for my main day bag, it might be OK when going out at night and just taking out a small amount of money. I am also missing my other bag which only has one zip compartment that I use for my keys and bus pass. Does anyone else not use a purse at all?

I have a huge purse that goes inside my huge handbag, sometimes I just grab my purse if I'm popping to the shop but I really couldnt do without either:)

i always use one, couldnt be without it!
although mine is quite bulky too. so if im using a smaller bag i have a small coin purse i use, and just put my cards either in a pocket in the bag or card wallet

I have a fairly decent size purse I use for everyday with bank cards, loyalty cards and cash in (also old receipts, photos of my kids, emergency details and stamps and if I drop a button from my clothes or need to take off a ring or earrings, they go in there for safe-keeping too.) I don't always use the same bag everyday, so easier to keep all this in one place, than transfer (or forget to transfer) things separately. Also if I'm just popping out will also sometimes just take purse and no bag.

I have a small purse for evenings / occasions. Will just take bank card, cash and doorkey.

If I'm using one of a couple of very slim evening bags I've got , will just put cash and doorkey in the zip pocket.

On holiday, I take 2 small purses, one for out and about, the other for the safe, with my cards, keys and spare UK currency!

So yes, I think I'm definitely a purse girl!

Also a purse lover I have a big black snakeskin one from Next that I use but I have a nifty little pouch that came with my phone that has a zipped compartment at the back which is a perfect size for my debit card and money for when I go out and my purse wont fit in my bag.
However for day to day I need my purse - its a good size and holds everything I need.

I have a huuuuge purse, despite my lack of my money I have a zillion cards and tons of coupons so, it must be done!

I've got a smaller Mr Men purse....I love it! Try Play for some ideas for smaller ones then see if they're cheaper on eBay?

I couldn't go without a purse either. Like my handbags, I have different styles, shapes and sizes. I even have a selection of evening purses that go into my evening bags!!!

Another factor in using a purse means that you can use cash and can easily kept track of your spending and not just depending on cards.

I only use a purse in conjunction with my messenger bag and mainly for coins. (maybe odd note as well)

Otherwise I carry ££ notes in my card wallet. (and sometimes spread about my person)

I had a lovely wallet purse I purchased from Belgium but I was pick pocketed / mugged of it by a Person who nudged me in 2006/2007! Scared me off carring a wallet / purse!!!! I hesitate everytime I pass the spot it happened!!!!

And it was fcuking fcuking fcuking pointless as there was only 5p in it!! My cards were cancelled immediately. <the £10 I had was in my top pocket to do the lottery>
