Have a computer infected by this very nasty virus. The virus will not allow connection to the internet and has disabled the installed anti-virus (which can't be much good as it didn't spot it in the first place).

Had an idea to boot the PC from a USB drive and then run a malware removal tool from there.

Don't want to buy anymore tools as already paid for antivirus and could end up paying good money for something which is crap or puts a continous debit on my credit card.

Did a search on the internet for a free malware removal tool. Nearly every tool which claims to be "free" will actually scan your PC for free, but when it comes times to remove the malware, you get directed to a site where you have to pay out money and they add all these extras you don't need. Such a con.

Is there anything that will remove the virus for free which I could load onto a USB drive? I would gladly pay for something if it proved its worth, I just don't want to shell out money for something which turns out to be rubbish - so many con merchants out there.

Are the people who write these viruses the same people who want $24.95 off us to remove it???
