Contribution Based JSA

I am hoping somebody will able to give me a little advice/information please.
My fiance has today been constructively dismissed from her job (which is another story).
My query is whether she will be entitled to Contribution Based JSA for 6 months? She has exceeded the NI threshold for the past 2 years, both years paying approximately £135 NI per annum.
Will she be entitled to JSA? I currently work 40 hours per week and the advice is a little conflicting, some information states that becuase I work over 25 hours she may not be entitled.
Any advice would be much appreciated because I have already done a quick calc to find we may be entitled to an extra £10 per week tax credit, however this in no way compensates for the loss of her wage until she finds another position.
Any information would be much appreciated

someone will be along soon to confirm which years she needs to have met the NI threshold for.
The second question is when you say "constructively dismissed" - that is for an ET to decide, do you mean she resigned? If so depending on the cicumstances she *may* be sanctioned although if a doctor can verify it was affecting her health etc she might not be. That's for a decision maker to decide - you'll get a whole range of opinion here, but without the specifics, no one can really tell you for sure.
Hope she finds something better soon.Debt free 4th April 2007.
New house. Bigger mortgage. MFWB after I have my buffer cash in place.0 -
Sorry, but its not up to her to decide whether she has been constructively dismissed or not, that will only be decided by a tribunal.
What yu actually mean is that she has been sacked.
You will get better advice/help if you give the correct information.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
It really depends, she might be sanctioned as she was sacked. They will have to look into this more to find out the reasons why and if it was her fault etc.0

It's impossible for anyone to give you a definative answer I'm afraid OP, it will depend on the nature of her dismissal, it will go to a decision maker who will gather all the relevant info then decide if she is to be sanctioned and if so for how long, there is no set time limit, can be anything up to 26 weeks...0

Wow some fast replies

Disregard what I said about constructive dismissal, basically as I said its another story ( however she submitted a grievance with regards to her hours, which resulted in them dismissing her, so I am currently contacting acas and her head office).
She was only a part time employee on minimum wage, therefore the £135 NI was per year.0 -
If she satisfies both contribution conditions in the relevant tax years (09/10 and 08/09) then she will receive JSA for six months.0

Just read a couple of posts which were submitted whilst I was typing.
I didn't realise she could miss out due to the nature of her job loss, basically she requested flexible working due to me working away regularly and she only really has childcare cover during the day for our 6 year old.
This week she was requested to work late 3 nights and had no childcare cover for 2 of them, tried to discuss with the management team who weren't interested, so she submitted a grievance..... the result of which was "your not suitable for us, so we are releasing you"
