Can I ask...have you ever withheld justifiable negative feedback to make sure you don't get a retaliatory negative from them? I've had a couple of sellers where I've had to weigh up the pros and cons of giving them a negative because I knew from looking at other feedback that they'd left that they would retaliate. The B*ggers!,LOL

daveboy, I'm sorry if my post annoyed you. I posted because I am a regular on here and wanted people to know that it is possible to do OK on ebay without dropshipping, buying wholesale or even being a power seller. My feedback has been hard earned over several years and if I can do it, anyone can.

I do apologise though if anyone thought my post was frivilous.

I've got one neg, thoroughly deserved - when I was new I didn't read seller's payment requirements, they didn't accept any online payments and I therefore backed out. I didn't do a retaliatory neg, but responded to his neg explaining my mistake.

Well done, Soolin, truly, but I do feel sorry for sellers who tangle inadvertently with malicious neg-leavers and I always check non-100% feedbacks, it's amazing how many negs are from non-paying bidders.

I've got quite a bit to sell but keep putting it off because I find it so stressful. Maybe I'll list one or two things now????....

I have left negative feedback before, possibly 5 or 6 lots although I don't think I have ever left any neutrals. On a couple of occasions I have bought something that I have been a little disappointed with, mainly due to cigarette smoke, and have decided against leaving feedback on the basis that it was a minor gripe. Other people might not be bothered by cigarette smoke and I should have asked before I bid whether the seller smoked. I have never had any retaliatory negs left.
