hi, hope someone can help me, my lappy has suddenly stopped saving websites ive visited, it used to save them in the dropdown on my address bar, its really annoying having to type in my websites all the time, can anyone help me change my settings please, i have an hp compac lappy, and using windows 7,

    Go to Internet Options and see if the box 'Delete browsing history on exit' is ticked. Untick it and it should be okay. If it is unticked then have you another programme that deletes your history?

    Why don't you use 'Favourites'? When you are in websites that you use regularly, just add them to Favourites or use Google?

    have had a look and the box is unticked, sorry i don't know much about computers, i'm not sure where to look for more settings, thanks again

    In that case try to reset Internet Explorer 9 (assuming you're running it - if not download it now). Then go to Internet Options, click 'Advanced', click 'Reset', click Delete personal settings. It will reset IE to the default setting and then you will need to set your search provider and so on.
