Sorry, but why dont you just book the flights yourself. Then it isnt a problem.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.

There wouldn't be a problem but I'd as a courtesy let the rep know at the airport so that they don;t hold the transfer coach for you, or waste time looking for you at the hotel for your return transfer.

Sometimes it can actually be cheaper to book a package, especially on a last minute holiday. On some charters, tour operators hold back flight seats to match up with their committed bed/room blocks. Flight only's are prices higher as they want the sell the package. Mad - but that's the way it can be. On some routes, like Goa, there is also a restriction on flight only sales to Indian nationals. A package, with a cheap hotel or hostal that you have no intention of using, if the way around it.

flights for 5 people to where i want to go are around £1450 but if i book via 18-30 package its only £935 for 5 people big difference in my book, but not sure if they can penalize you for anything

My mum and dad have done it a few times just let the rep know for pick-ups etc. I think the last time my parents just got dropped off and picked up at the apartments included in the package and just made there own way from there.

Go to the hotel then wander off for 7-14 days, (just let the rep know)
