Go outdoors dire customer service

Just a warning to any online buyers.

Been chasing a tent for a while, saw it was in stock in local stores but then went out of stock very fast. Rang head office thursday and i gained very little information on delivery dates and decided to watch the website.

Yesterday i saw the tent in stock for home delivery and also in stock for our local stores so i purchased the home delivery option. Half an hour ago i had a call from a guy in coventry saying they dont have any nor do they know when they will come back in. Advised to ring head office.

Rang head office and got twaddle about it not being a live system so they dont know if its in stock until they come to pick the order. I said for a company this big its inexcusable and simply got brushed off with 'well we are working on it'
After a quick check online whilst on the phone I said well its showing as in stock in the wakefield store today can you double check it for me...but i had to be put through and explain the whole situation again.

Wakefield store confirmed they had one so i cancelled my online order, started up the car and then had a call from wakefield telling me they dont have any after all nor do they know when they will be getting any. :mad:

To make matters worse id even have to pay more due to their mess up if i collected it in store with buying one of their discount cards which you dont have to do online.

As a first time customer they really have left their mark on me, the right hand doesnt seem to know what the left hand is doing. Communication is dire and any call you end up running round in circles!!!!

    Unfortunately not, not unless i buy it direct from the supplier at a cost of £350 rather than £130.

    The whole point of this was the poor customer service and the lack of a live feed for a company as big as go outdoors. Not the fact they were rapidly running out of stock, it was that the right hand didnt know what the left hand was doing

    You seem the type of person who puts new people off posting with replies similar to that. Luckily for you, i couldnt really care less.
