I am aware that for complaints submitted before a point must now be resolved by the end of August. This includes several that I am waiting for a response from.
My question is given the banks will likely take right up to the end of August deadline to resolve the complaints what is the likely delay until the letters get dispatched? Standard letters from banks don't seem to be dispatched until 3 days after they are written as they need to be added to the print run.
I'm thinking maybe the 10th September. Am I being unrealistic?

I don't think anyone really has an adequate answer to that. However, thank your lucky starts that you're not (I assume) stuck in the FOS queue for an ombudsman, there's no August deadline there

Whilst the complaint has to be resolved by 31st August (for those for those put on hold during the Judicial Review) they dont have to give the caclulated refund (amd cheque/ bank payment) until 8 weeks after that, so even for those that fall within the first batch, they could still have to wait until the end of October to see the banks money!

Congratulations to all who have got their PPI back!
