Rent to Buy advice needed

Hi everyone,
My partner and myself are both self employed, with a business that has been running for 2 years. I am aware that we have absolutely not a cat in hells chance of getting a mortgage at the moment however I have come across information on 'rent-to buy' schemes which sound perfect for us.
We will be moving to Kent very soon (from the midlands) and were looking to rent, but the rental costs are enormous so if we could get a rent to buy property our money wouldn't be wasted as such and it would give us time to build up our accounts.
My question really is does anyone have any experience of this and where you can search for these houses? I have been looking and they have been very thin on the ground (un-surprisingly). Any advice would be gladly received. Thank you

You might get a mortgage - just get a summary of your tax-return info (so you can prove income) and call a couple of brokers - you might get a pleasant surprise!!
Hope it works out..0
