Old Credit Cards - Can I claim

Hi
We had a loan from RBS back in May 2006 to pay off 3 credit cards, RBS, Egg Visa and HFC Marbles.
I am sure we would have had PPI on these cards as I used to have it on everything.
Would it be worth me pursuing this as the repayment could be quite a bit of money.
It is within the 6 years but the cards were then closed down.
How would I find out who to contact?
Hope someone can help.
Thanks
Julie

Hi Julie
Yes as long as you have your reasons for being mis sold, do not worry about the 6 year time barring, having the account numbers help, and if you've only just recently became aware of the mis selling make them aware of that as well.
Lots on here have been successful from reclaims - 90s and earlier.
All you do is complete the reclaim questionnaire as on step 3 below, send to head/main office or if they have a complaints dept, keep copies for yourself, they normally have 8 weeks to resolve, but some have been given extra time such as 16 weeks due to backlogs.
Hope this helps, good luck.

You sound like you were a willing participant in having PPI by that comment.
If that is the case then what are your reasons for claiming that it was mis-sold?0 -
When we had the credit cards we genuinely thought we had to have the insurance, it is only recently that we have realised that it is optional!!!0
