Where to look for a replacement shower part?

We need a new thermostatic cartridge for our Bristan shower and I've done an online search by part number but the cheapest price I've found is £90 (could only find two suppliers).
Where is the best place to look for this sort of thing, would I be better going to a plumbing merchant or something?

Definitely try direct and see what they say. We had to replace something in our Gainsborough shower and they were ever so good and prompt.

I got parts for a Mira shower from showerdoc in the past.

Thanks! perhaps I shouldn't complain about £90 - Bristan themselves charge over £130 for the part.

This is the second time it has failed and last time they were very good about sending a replacement under warranty. It seems they have a life of about three years as each one has lasted exactly three years!

Thanks, Showerdoc have it for £90 too, very useful that they show the instructions with the product description.
