tv, where can I get an HD ready one from £200 to £300, or near.

Think you wont get one new for that price yet. There are certainly some screens available nearer the £400 mark but they say they are both HD compatible and HD Ready which by normal definition is wrong (HD compatible meaning it is missing the HD Ready standard by can accept a HD signal) so would require more digging on their capabilities.
