Conservatory Quote

I am thinking of getting a quote for a new basic conservatory.
I already have one, all made of wood, which I want to replace with a basic conservatory 3m x 2m with one single door, double glazing and brick built approx 1m high.
I already have a good concrete base.
Can anyone suggest approx cost of supply and build ?
Also, do I need planning permission ?
I am in Essex.

I used to fit these and the approx cost from a small firm that I worked in was approx £6000 - £10.000 depending on style.

I dont think you need planning permission for these, but as your looking to replace one then you should not require it at all.

I would suggest you ask friends and family about local firms, and try if you can to ask about a cash deal, the 2 firms I worked for discounted quite a bit for cash, they inturn paid supplier cash and saved on vat and tax and therefor passed a saving on !
