Argos Refund

Not sure if this is the right place to post but hoping I'll get some help. My step-dad bought me a baby bouncer as a gift from Argos last week using his Argos Store Card but he bought the same bouncer I've already got but the problem is he works late everyday and by the time he finishes Argos is shut so I was just wanting to know if I would be able to take his store card and get the money credited back on myself as its not my card? On the receipt it says Signature Verified and obviously I cant verify his signature.

Could you take yours back instead? (assuming its not been used and you have the receipt)0
-
How did he manage to find time to go to Argos to buy the thing?

Very unlikely if it was signature verified, you might have got away with it if it was Chip and PIN although he would have been going against the terms and conditions of the card by giving you the PIN.0
-
Can you not just phone argos when they open later and ask them if you can? That way you wont waste a trip on what someone on here says and they will know their own policies.0

What is your dad telephoned the store and had them put a note on his account to authorise you to deal with the enquiry?0

There will still be the problem of the signature though.
As far as I'm aware, the refund will have to go back onto the card it was taken from (Argos store card) and this might require the holder to sign the refund slip.
But as you say, there's no harm in phoning up and asking.0 -
You could request an argos gift card, if you would be happy to purchase something else instead. Otherwise it's unlikely that they'd refund onto his card without him being present.:A0

Aren't you a bit old for a baby bouncer.
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0
