Thanks. It was sour crop and I massaged it and got her to bring up a whole lot of stinking stuff and the swelling went right down but she didn't survive the night.
I went out to give her a syringe of sugar water and do it again this morning but I think she was just too weak. She was stiff so died during the night.
I thought we might have a chance but it was just too late and at least it's all over for her.
Watch out for this one folks. I certainly will in future.
I'm going to check the others over but they are all bouncing about like maniacs as usual so I think they're OK. This isn't something catching.

Aww pickledtink i am so sorry. i know nothing about keeping chickens but have been reading and willing her to survive. i have two dogs and they are as part of the family as anyone else and i know i would be devastated if anything happened to them
