Hi
Wondering if anybody could tell me what I should do next, or should I just write it off.
In 2001 I took out an unsecured loan with G. E.Capital included in this was ppi. I have contacted them with my loan number, address and the payments I was making each month but they have come back to say they cannot find anything and try Santandar. Ive tried Santandar and they cannot find any information. The loan was paid off in 2004 so it is over the 6 years.
Thanks
Michelle

Hi
Your best option here is to send them a subject access request (SAR) there is a one off fee of £10 but it will mean that by law they have to give you everything they hold on you. This should then tell you who it was that held the loan. There is a fab SAR letter on this site, I cant post links but I’m sure one of the experienced users will come along soon and post this link for you. You can still make a claim even if its over 6yrs, if you have the loan account number then this is all you really need to fill out the questionnaire. If you are 100% sure that you were paying PPI and have reasons for it being missold to you then just go for it
