you mean in the actual interview itself??
You did say they you lied in the interview, I would suspect that is the main reason the offer was withdrawn.

  • But they then interviewed you, asked you a direct question to which you lied.

no it was a subsequent interview, that occured after the interview that resulted in them offering me the job and the contract, and as a result of the ex-employee contacting them with allegations.

From an earlier post of yours

'We have also contacted your other referee, --- and in addition the ---- human resources section. It has been confirmed to us that there were disciplinary incidents involving or related to allegations made by colleagues complaining about your behaviour, including one matter pending when you left the employment of the ----.
and I asked you specifically in our meeting yesterday whether there had been any disciplinary matters or allegations against you and you denied this.'

You seem to be a little vague on what is the truth and what is not.

If you had been honest from the start you would probably be working there now.

  • You also seem to blame the ex-company for the fact you were subject to potential disciplinary procedings at the time of leaving.

only because they agreed to an agreed reference, which to my mind makes it imperative that it should not be talked about.

i dont blame the necessarily for disciplining me at the time, but now is not that time.

Which they have done, just move on and be more open with future employers if asked. I would not employ someone who I did not think was being open and truthful with me and seemed to have something to hide.
