Avoid Ebay Seller product

Have had a nightmare with an Ebay business over the past month+.
Stupidly saw feedback was almost 100% and didn't look at the bad reviews.
Unfortunately nearly every bad review was for the one product I bought -a bike rack- which aside from being faulty from the beginning was also an illegal design.
Have been contacting the company who insist I return the product - fair enough- but insist that I use one particular delivery company which only works with online orders and will not open properly on any computer I have used.
Not only has this been a hassle, but before I'd even been sent the product I had my money taken and then told I wouldn't receive the product without paying an additional postage fee. Even though it was stated as free postage to my area. Only then sent it after I told them I'd be opening a complaint and definitely not paying more money to them
Think I may just have to accept a money loss in this situation but avoid the bike rack at all costs!!! I won't comment on other products as seem to be a very good feedback record for other products.

What is illegal about the design?0

I echo the post above, why illegal?
They have already sold 544 and a quick reading shows lots of positives for the same item, I haven't found a neg yet for it. There is nothing on that sellers feedback that would suggest a problem to me.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
