Just a few point here op. They royally messed up with the delivery address but:

    - it is probably true the staff can take payments but not refund it. This likely has to be done by a different department to prevent fraud by staff.
    - they have to legally refund within 28 days of cancelling the order. Understandable.
    - the item is in transit, no company in the right mind would refund you straight away in this situation. What if the courier messed up again, delivered the camera to you and Very had refunded.
    - I also imagine your email was longer than necessary so they scanned for the important facts and responded accordingly, therefore missed other points. You should keep communication brief, facual and emotionless and the response will likely be 100 times better.
    - ring your bank about the duplicate payment. Report as unauthorised they have it returned if very aren't pulling their finger out.
    - it's unrealistic (dispite the fact they messed up multiple times) to think the courier will deliver same day as your query. Most couriers have cutoff points the night before, Citylinc cut off point for collections 10AM. It will be similar for deliveries.
    - unless you phone them and authorise such, nobody other than you can and should be able to discuss your order. Imagine if they did and you didn't want them to? Catastrophic huh? It can't work both ways, they cannot read minds.
    - in future, try to be more cautious about entering the wrong address. Although they messed up not you, it makes things one hundred times easier.

A MSE member posted a thread about dealing with issues just recently, you should take a read as it contained some very valid points. I'm going to try find it again, unless somebody gets there first............

Overall though the service was riddled with a series of ridiculous mistakes which caused you alot of problems. But your expectations throughout have been unfortunately unrealistic.
