Have you thought about sharing your flat, even if it has only one bedroom you could use the living space as your room and share kitchen and bathroom.. just a thought even though its not in an area you'd like to live in at least you would have your own front door..#6 of the SKI-ers Club :j

once i have cleared my overdraft and saved a little i think i will probably:
- leave the investment flat to pay for itself, then even with no over payments i'll own a £140k property by age 50.
- with my wages decide how much i could afford in terms of renting a flat for myself
- move into rented flat nearer town
- look to improve job prospects
- look to meet partner
10 years ago i wouldnt have any problem with staying at the parents and they dont mind me being here, but it does feel like now i should be fending for myself..
i also think at my age my parents were married, 2 kids and house, so again its like i'm not geting anywhere myself!0 -
i seem to be getting left behind, most of my mates are either married/in long term relationships/have young kids... even my younger sister is getting married and living with husband to be.
You don't have to be married, you don't have to be in a long-term relationship and you don't have to have kids. If that's what you want out of life fine - but please you don't have to do all these things just because other people do - and there is certainly no requirement for you to do these things at any set age.
These debts are money I loaned to friends via my credit cards but are being paid back now on fixed terms. As I said earlier, I no longer have any credit card debt of my own, it is only this money two friends are paying me back.
Sounds as though a good nature has done your friends a very good favour but not yourself. So is there anyway you can get them to increase their repayments to you so you can clear the debt quicker.0
