I suppose the title gives a nice hint to what my question is.
My partner and myself are looking to buy a new build property, it has a downstairs toilet, main bathroom upstairs and the master bedroom has an ensuite. The master room and bathroom are next to each other. I personally think as the home only has 2 bedrooms and the master room is taken up alot by the ensuite that the ensuite would serve better as a walk in wardrobe. Would it decrease the value of the property too much also would the builders agree to it? ( its a barratt property). Should they not agree to it would it cost too much to remove the ensuite to make it a walk in wardrobe ourselves after we have moved in?
We dont want to be pains but are paying for a property to be home and so would like it how we want it.
At the end of the day they are saving money by not installing all the bathroom features and plumbing instead just altering how big the room is and putting a metal pole across it.
