How to get rid of built in wardrobe?

Hi
We have a build in wardrobe, which I've just disassembled.
Most of the parts are there and the condition is fair (would potentially need some additional work if someone were to reconstruct).
I could fit most of it in my car - but a couple of the large sliding door, especially the one which is a mirror would not fit in. So currently it is sitting in my garage taking up a fair bit of space.
I've thought of trying to advertise it as free to collect - all parts are there - but I wonder if anyone would be bothered to collect and reassemble. Especially if condition is not as new. Also thought about contacting these free furniture collection places - but same problem there. Or maybe some of the free scrap collected places - but surely they're only after stuff like metal that they can sell quickly for cash?
The other option is to rent a van - pricey.
How would you get rid of it?

will your local council take it away - ours do 6 free uplifts a year - or advertise it on gumtree then if no takers get your local council to take it away or freecycle? The mind is like a parachute. It doesn’t work unless it’s open.:o

Thanks
I don't think burning it as option for us. We're in a smoke free area and I think the wardrobe contains alot of plastics anyway.
I've looked on the council website and they do collect. They charge £23 to do so per 6 items. I hope they class it as one item as it could get pricey if each section is an item.
Still interested to hear of anyone else suggestions.0 -
Offer it on Freecycle - you will be amazed at what people are willing to come and collect.Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures0

Freecycle or gumtree with no cost collect only0

Again, support for Freecycle from me. I have managed to rid myself of unbelievable tat that way - taken with enthusiasm each time. Of course, the only problem is, once signed up, you also start collecting the tat as well.

If the only problem with taking it to the dump is that pieces are too big, then I'd break it up into smaller pieces, then take it to the dump.
I had five freestanding linked wardrobes that were built in the room they stood in, and had to be disassembled just to get them out of the room - they were willingly taken away by someone who wanted to re-assemble them; were advertised on gumtree, but that's no guarantee of success.
Furniture charity collectors will want assembled furniture, not pieces of same, I fear.....0 -
And... it's gone - thank you for the suggestions.
Both Gumtree and Freecycle lead to a number of interested enquiries.
In the end, most came from Freecycle and the buyer came via that route.
I also got rid of another item in the same way.0 -
