Xbox 360 controller has stopped connecting

Hello, one of my sons wireless controllers on his xbox 360 has stopped connecting this afternoon. I've tried pressing the little button on the front of the hand set, no joy.
The green circle flashes 3 times on the handset and then stops. I've swapped battery packs and used ordinary batteries, no joy
One handset connects perfectly.
Any ideas, many thanks.

Thanks for that. But no. Synching it doesn't work (if I'm doing it right).
On the other handset all you do is press the circle, the complete circle flashes 4-5 times then goes down to one segment.
On the faulty one when you press the connection button on xbox and little button on handset, the circle flashes 2-3 times and then goes off.As surely as night follows day capitalism will come crumbling down. On a mission to secure a just and ethical society.0 -

Worse comes to worse I'll try that. Any idea what a game shop would charge? As surely as night follows day capitalism will come crumbling down. On a mission to secure a just and ethical society.0 -
It is still under guarantee. Whether we've still got the receipt-don't know.
Can't remember though whether it is the one that came with the box or the later purchase. As surely as night follows day capitalism will come crumbling down. On a mission to secure a just and ethical society.0 -

No afraid not, not had to go down that route yet as son as only had his xbox a few weeks.Im guessing the more popular ones like game will be more expensive so maybe trying to find a little independant shop would be cheaper.
Good luckAll stressed out ...... and no one to choke !!:D0
