    He is right. It's no different from going into Waterstones for example, buying a book, reading it, then taking it back a week later and asking for a refund.

    Essentially yes. But it'd be obvious the book had been read and impossible to resell it at full value.

    A game on the other hand, so long as it was looked after, shouldn't be distinguishable from 'new'.

    Game and gamestation (and hmv i think) seal the games away, so if the seal is opened, it's clear the game has been used.

    Because it's so easy to copy a game, they won't take it back if you've opened it, because there's no guarantee you aren't buying games, copying them, then returning them for a refund.

    That really surprise me. Whenever my OH buys a used game at game or gamestation they always put a new seal on them.
