People tree

Hi all,

Please read people tree disclaimer.I sent for one of their bargain boxes,
the stuff was ok nothing very special, however had to send back a pair of trousers and a sun hat which did not fit.I kept a long sleeved t shirt, a tiny bolero and a handmade note book.People tree phoned me a couple of days ago to say i was nt entitled to any refund or exchange as i had to return the complete box .I had sent the items back a couple of weeks ago on the day i received them ,so of course i had used the things i had kept .
So for a couple of tops and note pad i have paid the princely sum of 38.75p not much of a saving folks and an awful lot of bother.

I understand how you might be frustrated but that is no different to me buying a camera and case as a package. If I sent the case back and wanted a refund on that portion of the sale I wouldn't get it. Clearly the items were bought as a package and priced as 1 packaged item. You can't keep half the package and expect a partial refund. It would be different if the items all had an individual price but they didn't. That's the wholepoint of the bundle you can't pick and choose.

This is the risk you take when ordering a surprise bag, I think it's overpriced anyway for what you get ?
Even with the trousers and sun hat you could have ordered the right sizes cheaper elsewhere.
    Lesson learnt :)

It does say very clearly that this is the case. I wouldn't have called it small print.

Just looked here http://www.peopletree.co.uk/products/womens-goody-bag/ and it's not that ambiguous - either they have changed it since your problem (in which case, problem solved for the future) or it was pretty tricky to miss!!

Either way, all sorted now, I guess?
