Just wondered if anyone knows if fixed term employees who have worked for more than 2 years would be entitled to a redundancy payment ?

AIUI if the contract resulted in continuous employment then yes.
2 years+ service they should go through redundancy procedures, that included justifying the non renewal, selection pools and redundancy payments.0
